A Surprise and a long awaited event begin this episode. New Age(s) open and give explorers a means to help with a New Light, and some current ages make another journey there worthwhile. CCN provides you with an overview of events in this episode as well as highlights from DRC activity. Cate takes charge, Douglas threatens to take revenge, and Laxman sets up a meter. Time to light the lake!

Events are happening fast and furiously in the Cavern, and CCN staff and affiliates are rushing to keep abreast of them.

In Part Two of Episode Five: Tension and concern continue to build as Wheely Engberg and Rosette remain out of reach under the Kahlo Pub. Rescue teams work feverishly to rescue the two girls. Rosette is still silent, carvings glow on the wall, and something is watching Wheely… a bahro?

The Uru Community was shocked today to hear of a death in the Cavern. Concerned about Wheely Engberg already, explorers gathered around the blocked-off pub area as the DRC recovery team worked furiously to find Wheely and her friend, Rosetta.

CCN CavernCast, May 2007, Episode Five “Scars, Part One”

The Cavern hadn’t been open many months again when several events happened at the same time. Explorers tried to keep abreast of the changing situation as the DRC attempted to keep it under control.

This early format of the CavernCast was called the MiniCast. This episode was broadcast in three parts.

Since the CCN staff was still moving in to the new offices, there is some, er, well, repetition of video at the beginning of each of the three segments (see subsequent posts). We’d like to say Madge got her hands on the film, but we can’t because she didn’t know where the new offices were (yet). Neither did we know where she was…so she could have…but she couldn’t have… Truth is, we were so excited to be in the cavern with everyone else we plumb forgot to film. No, that’s not true, really, either. We just didn’t have enough video for all the information.

Still, we are proud to say that the information is new in each segment, regardless of what you see.
